Car seats consist mainly of plastic, foam, fabric and metal. HC-Industry provides a dedicated shredding solution: bulky seats are pre-shredded hydraulically to reduce size, then processed in a scrap car parts shredder, with optional double-shaft secondary shredding for finer output. The result is efficient size reduction and stable preparation for downstream recycling.
1. Pre-Treatment & Safety
Remove seatbelts, airbags, wiring harnesses, and electronic modules to ensure safe processing.
2. Primary Shredding
Feed the full seat assembly into a Twin-Shaft Shredder, cutting foam, textiles, and embedded metals in one step with high torque and stable output.
3. Material Handling
Shredded material is conveyed to storage or directly to downstream processing, depending on plant layout.
4. Pre-Sorting
Oversized metals or fabric clusters are removed manually or with dedicated separators to ensure clean material flow.
5. Size Reduction & Conditioning
Foam and fabrics are further downsized with crushers or hammer mills to meet target specifications for fuel production or reuse.
6. Metal Recovery
Steel and aluminum components are collected and sent to recyclers for remelting.
